Arnold Air Society

The Arnold Air Society (AAS) is a professional, honorary, service organization advocating the support of aerospace power. The “service” aspect is perhaps the foremost in the mind of many members, because of the society’s continuing contributions to our campuses, our communities, and our corps–but it should always be remembered that our primary mission is to improve ourselves as future Air Force or Space Force officers.

The Captain Mark Giles Danielson Squadron is the AAS squadron based out of Colorado State University and is a part of Region VIII. The squadron volunteers at and hosts various community service events throughout Colorado. All active members have completed an eight week training in drill, Air Force knowledge, and professionalism. For more information on the society please visit our website.

Dacytls

Dactyls is the booster club for Detachment 090! We are in charge of fundraising and financing special events for the cadet wing. We fund Dining In and Dining Out, and any other events in between! We fundraise by partnering with local restaurants and with CSU to create opportunities like Snow Removal, Football Stadium Clean-Up, and helping with Football Tailgates. Outside of raising money, we also create and sell Detachment merchandise for cadets and their families! Examples include: Sweatshirts, T-Shirts, and various glassware repping Det 090! Our last big responsibility that affects the cadet wing is that we are in charge of the snack bar in the cadet lounge; from gauging snack requests to restocking. All in all, Dactyls is a great opportunity to grow and develop yourself as a future Air Force leader!

Phase 0

Phase 0 is a group for cadets interested in pursuing a career in special warfare (Special Tactics Officer, Combat Rescue Officer, Tactical Air Control Party Officer). We train to increase water confidence and physical fitness through calisthenics and rucking.

Silver Wings

Silver Wings (SW) is a national, co-ed, professional organization dedicated to creating proactive, knowledgeable, and effective civic leaders through community service and education about national defense.

Silver Wings’ predecessor organization, Angel Flight, had a specific objective of supporting the mission of Arnold Air Society. While this is no longer explicitly stated, Silver Wings remains committed to developing strong civilian leaders with an understanding of aerospace power–and obviously, the continuing partnership between Arnold Air Society and Silver Wings is critical to building this understanding. Membership is open to any interested student, and the organization is comprised of half civilian, non-ROTC members.

Valor

Valor is a college ministry for ROTC cadets that provides opportunity for community, encourages students to grow in their relationship with God, and prepares them for walking with God after graduation. Valor approaches faith from a Christain worldview but welcomes students to get involved no matter what their spiritual background or where they are along their spiritual journey.

War Gaming Club

Wargaming Club is a club dedicated to mentoring cadets of any year. We focus on developing cadets strategic and operational abilities through playing wargames as well as developing our own that we implement during the semester to the larger cadet wing! We meet Mondays at 1600-1800 in Military Science 200, if you have further questions reach out to our club leadership on our RamLink page!
